Macquarie House

Originally built in 1829-30, Macquarie House has been transformed into an innovation, entrepreneurship and technology hub. The building was integral to the success of the first settlement of Melbourne (some may say Melbourne was an early Launceston startup?) as the place where provisions were housed and planning was undertaken in advance of the venture.

Macquarie House will open in September 2019 and offer space for innovation, creativity, events, workshops and programs. In 2020, EnergyLab and local delivery partner, Definium Technologies, will run the Smart Energy IoT Accelerator at Macquarie House from February to May.
